Learning to say no

We find it really difficult to say no to people. It doesnt matter if they ask us something and we dont feel like answering, we mostly do answer. Because we’re not able to say no. We’re too scared. Ali is the only one who will say no, and thats only because she is mostly angry and she is able to stand up for herself. Most of the rest of us arent able to do that.

When we lived with our bio family it was never ok to say no. We were punished if we said no. We just had to do whatever they told us to do, even if it didnt feel right, even if it was wrong. We had to do it to survive. We just had to do the stuff.

Its a huge trigger for us if someone says no to us for any reason. It makes us flashback to the times when our mom would not allow us food, or when she’d say no if we asked her a question, she wouldnt answer or if she did answer, it was just to say no. The word just sends us spiraling into flashbacks. If our foster mom says no about something it automatically causes a switch. Its really weird like that.

I wonder if no will ever not cause us to have memories, or to switch and stuff.
