attachment issues

so our foster mom says we have attachment issues. heres why.

every weekend, on saturday morning, our foster moms niece baby sits us. from 9 30 am till 2 30 pm.

and every weekend its the same thing. its a huge deal to us that our foster mom is leaving, even though she says she will be back. we panic, we dont want her to go, we cry, we have to be prepared. every friday night she prepares us by saying, now you know tomorrow i have to go to my appointment and S is coming to baby sit.

we immediately freeze up. we immediately say to her, you wont be home. nevermind that its her house we live in, she has a husband and two other foster kids and pets, nevermind that. we just think she isnt ever coming back. it feels so scary.

we were talking earlier tonight and she said she is going to give us some information on attachment types to read. she got it while she was training to be a foster parent. she said it would be of benefit to us to read it and understand it.

and tomorrows saturday, again. she is leaving to go to her saturday appointment. we are all so nervous. so scared. sooo….worried. will she come home? we actually wait by the window from like 1 30 onwards, waiting for her to arrive. and she always does.

We’ve looked at attachment issues too … it’s a big factor in current psychology. We had poor attachment as well. Our Dr. says that if there is too much emotional energy being put into the current situation that its something deeper from the past … I’m not saying anything new here … but it be a good thing to continue writing and talking about. Love how hard you work at being you!

    Our best,
